Satin Black Vase with Mint and Avocado Shapes

A satin black vase with avocado and glossy mint shapes. Glazed in three stages, the glossy mint shapes really pop over the avocado and black, while the multiple colors add a depth to the surface. The interior is glazed in satin black.

Wheel thrown form. The glazed shapes are created using a wax etching technique, where the colors all sit on the same plane, having the look of inlay and feel as if the color is intrinsic in the form.
