Alabaster Mug with Sundrop Shapes
A satin alabaster mug with glossy sundrop shapes that really pop on the satin surface. The interior is glazed in alabaster.
Wheel thrown and altered with an extruded and applied handle made from three coils. The glazed shapes are created using a wax etching technique, where the colors all sit on the same plane, having the look of inlay and feel as if the color is intrinsic in the form.
Dimensions:
3 3/4” tall x 6 1/4” wide (at the handle) x 3 1/4” opening
Mug holds approximately 11 oz (it’s normal)
