The Dune Signal in Royal Blue

$1,800.00

One of the largest vases I’ve made to date and a combination of two classics - the Dune and the Signal vase. By adding another thrown element and experimenting with the handles, the eventual form was surprising, adding up to more than its parts.

Glazed in a single glossy color, the form is allowed to shine. This piece is so architectural and upward facing that it doesn’t need additional adornment but can shine on its own in the spotlight.

Wheel thrown from three sections and assembled over three days to achieve the proper height and geometry. The handles are extruded coils and sculpted while quite wet to retain their shape and not crack. They are then carved to fit the forms perfectly and attached to dry very carefully over a 2-week period.

Dimensions: 19” tall x 15” wide (at the handles) x 5” diameter vase form

*This piece is complete and ready to ship from our Brooklyn studio within 2 weeks. Since a larger and delicate item, additional shipping will be calculated after delivery address is given and charged separately.
